Otakon 2008 is coming. Yes its not until aug 2008 but i had to reserve the double bed room for all three nights. Most hotels are sold out and the people that wait much longer will have to pay normal cost per night. The differents is for example: $159 wil be $233. Holy crap HUH!!. And then for the people that wait until there are just a few months to go may not even get a room at all. Dont wait for crap sake. If your going to attend get the room now and cancel it later if things dont work out. Most hotels offer a no fee cancelation up to two days before. You cannot go by the price on the hotels webpage. Anyway! If i had to guess i would say this year may be over 30,000 people. I believe that the numbers are so high that no anime convention in the United States even comes close. We are planning to put together a group of da members that would like to meet up before the convention and attend certain functions as a group. Also enjoy Inner Harbor at night. Shopping and eating out. Safty in numbers is the idea. Plus things are more fun when done with friends. Im sure there will be room shareing for those that do not have anyone to go with or want to save money to spend at the convention. It is scary going alone and because of that the group idea may work fine. Me and my guest will be staying at the Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore. It would be nice to have our group be in the same hotel but since they are selling out so fast that may not be an option. Also for people that are not into driveing in the city we may be able to setup a carpool type thing. Save gas and parking fees this way. We can stay in contact via cell phones. You may wonder why am i into an anime series from 1982. Well the story goes like this. When cartoon network first put anime on there toonami time slot i got hooked. The first series that got me interested was Sailor Moon. The next show to air was tenchi muyo. I enjoyed tenchi muyo so much. I rushed home after school because i could not miss anything. When discovered Suncoast video was carrying anime i was in heaven. I bought everything i could find relating to the series. Coffee cups, RPG guides, Plushies, shirts, figures, wall scrolls, stationary and much more. Just to let people know tenchi is not the only anime i watch. I also enjoy Slayers, Nuku Nuku, Love hina, Those who hunt elves, Ai Yori Aoshi, Azumanga Daioh, and many more. I have to say i have not found anything close to the tenchi series. Its a cross between star trek and star wars. And of course who wouldnt like to be the one guy being chased by pretty girls. Maybe its the home like settings, Most of the muyo series was on earth and was cool and calm, not action every second. I like that. Since i have put SpacePirateBooty web site on the web i have met more people that feel the same about the series. For a while i thought i was alone. Not anymore. I would like to here from more people in reguards to toys and stuff they may have and would like to sell so i can keep building my collection and put the pics on the web for all to enjoy. The convention was great. We were able to be in the right places at the right times. Our in line wait time was 3 hours to get our badges on thursday. 6 hours to get into the dealers room. These wait times may sound nutz but that is what it takes to be within the first 12 people in line. After that it was anime overload the rest of the time. I missed out on some love hina sheets but i was able to get several more cels for my collection. Also able to start my azumanga daioh plushie set. And much more. Between the hotels and parking and $3 sodas i came home with $1. This year was the biggest ever and i cant wait until the next one. I am already twitchen. The Chat room has proved to be a good idea. Thanks to the folks that have dropped in to chat away the night. We seem to be on between 10-12pm est. The chat room will be staying part of the site. The addition of anime convention Otakon Baltimore 2005 pics are a success and i will be adding 02-04 soon. All con pics are left in high res so if u were there u may find yourself in the gallery. Allow time for the gallerys to load because of the high res. Otakon gallery is located in the main gallery section of my site. The added sounds on the tabs are a hit aswell. There will be more of this coming in the near future. The mature section is growing but please read the warnings and follow the proper tabs.

Hours of developement are being put into the sites fine tuning and idea additions. There will be many many more pics and comics and videos along with activities and dowloads to come in the future.
